Questions: 1. Q- What images did you select for your double exposure? A-For the second double exposure, I selected a portrait of myself holding a flower and a landscape of a stream and trees in Purgatory Chasm in Sutton, Massachusetts.
2. Q-How do the objects relate compositionally? A- The trees rise up through the face in the portrait. The body shoulders fade into the rocks and stream. The flower takes dominance over the landscape picture and is somewhat set apart from the rest of the photo.
3. Q- What steps did you take to merge layers to create a unified image? A- To merge the layers, I first had to crop the photos into a uniform size. Then I put the portrait over the landscape. I played with the opacity of the portrait until I was happy with the overlay.
4. Q- What concept, idea or meaning does your double exposure convey? A- I feel as though the image conveys a mood of peace and spirituality. The double exposure conveys a message that the girl (me) is one with nature and is at peace.
