Line and Shape (Black and White)
Photo 6 in the bottom right corner was taken at the Fall River Ymca. To take the photo, I went to the top of the winding staircase and took an over head shot by leaning over the railing and pointing the camera down. The composition has a wide variety of dark and light values as the railing in the bottom half of the photo is very dark and right above it there is a hotspot of natural light that filtered through a nearby window. I used the rule of thirds in my composition by having the focal point of the staircase slightly off center. The composition leads the views eye around the photo and down the stair case.

Pattern and Texture
I believe that my best photo is photo five. I took this photo relatively close to the subject. I took the picture from a low angle below the beads. The photo is horizontal. I do not feel that the rule of thirds even applies to this photo because the beads give an interesting pattern but there is no real focus point. This photo is a good example of pattern because the beads follow a pattern. They also give off a smooth texture which is emphasized by the highlights on them. The picture is interesting because of there is a distinct pattern and yet each line of beads has uniqueness. The eye may follow the beads down, up, or across.
Photo 4 may be too overexposed because it is a little bright and there may be some detail lost. The overexposure makes the photo slightly flat and less dynamic than it could have been.
Photo 3 may be under exposed. There is a lot of darkness especially in the rectangular spaces. If the exposure was more accurate the photo would look less grainy.
Image 5 is properly exposed. There are light values, dark values, and then a wide variety of in between values. There is a lot of detail because of the exposure.
